“If I Die Young”, Chord Overstreet (Sam) y Kevin McHale (Artie) cantan “Fire
And Rain”  y Mark Salling (Puck) canta “No Surrender”. Y luego Lea, como
Rachel Berry, con lágrimas interpreta «Make You Feel My Love» de Bob
Dylan.

On the eve of the American premiere of the Glee episode
titled «The Quarterback» (which won’t air in Mexico for a few months), Lea
Michele sat across from me to talk about the show’s farewell tribute to Finn
Hudson.  Of course it is much more than
an episode of a TV show for Michele, since Finn was played by Lea’s real life
boyfriend Cory Monteith, who died on July 13 of an alcohol and drug overdose
while visiting his home country of Canada during the show’s hiatus.

“We had a beautiful memorial for Cory in the auditorium and
some of the cast members sang and people spoke about him. It only felt right
that we would do the same thing for Finn, so I felt it was very therapeutic,”
she said. “I thought the episode was perfect. It was something that we all
needed to do together. Everyone is asking: ‘Is it hard to do this? Is it hard
to be back at work?’, but the truth is it’s no harder at work than it is in
life so we might as well all be together as a family supporting each other to
get through this together.”

In the episode, the Glee Club says goodbye in the only way
they know how, in song. Naya Rivera (who plays Santana) sings “If I Die Young”,
Chord Overstreet (Sam) and Kevin McHale (Artie) sing “Fire And Rain”,  and Mark Salling (Puck) sings “No Surrender”.
And then Lea, as Rachel Berry, tearfully performs Bob Dylan’s “Make You Feel My
Love”.

When asked what she’d like fans to remember about Cory, Lea
smiles a brave smile, “I really woke up every single day feeling like I was
being in some sort of spell or something, that I was lucky enough to have him
in my life. I feel like what happened with Cory was this big (holding her
fingers together to indicate a tiny amount) in the scheme of who he was and his
life. There was no greater man than Cory, so for the time we spent together I
consider myself very lucky.”
