¿Tom Cruise por fin dejará la Cienciología?

Antes de que descarten esta noticia que
parece ya vieja, una nueva ola de rumores en Hollywood apuntan que la estrella
de Misión Imposible por fin ha tomado la decisión de separarse de la religión.
Esta noticia no sorprende –después de todo, no ha podido mantener
una relación con su hija Suri después de que la Iglesia le prohibió todo
contacto con ella y su ex esposa Katie Holmes.

Pero, si es verdad, está muy lejos de
aquellos días de mis primeras entrevistas con el actor, cuando siempre lograba
relacionar sus respuestas con algún dato sobre la Cienciología. Las fuentes apuntan que fue aconsejado
por su amiga Lisa Marie Presley, quien tuvo una separación muy dramática de la
Iglesia en 2012 y que dejó claro que “revelaría los secretos más grandes del
culto religioso tan controversial” si la organización trata de chantajear a
Cruise.

Hace algún tiempo, otro miembro de la
religión, John Travolta, dejó de hablar de ella en sus entrevistas y pasó a
platicar solamente sobre su amor por la buena comida, el vino y la vida. Y de
repente algo cambió, porque volvió a tocar el tema de la Cienciología en sus
conversaciones con la prensa. ¿Fue la Iglesia quien lo presionó? ¿Le pasará lo

Wait, before you dismiss this as old news, a whole new wave
of grapevine chatter is sweeping around Hollywood, that the Mission Impossible
star has finally made the big decision to make the break from Scientology. This
news comes as no surprise – after all, we wants to have a relationship with
daughter Suri, which he hasn’t been able to do since the church branded both
Suri and ex-wife Katie Holmes as “surpressive persons” and banned all contact.

But if it’s true it’s a far cry from the days of my early interviews
with the actor, who managed to pepper almost every press conference answer with
Scientology lingo. Now sources say he has turned for advice to pal Lisa Marie
Presley, who made a dramatic split from the “church” in 2012 and has made it
clear she’s prepared to “spill explosive secrets about the controversial
religion” if the organization tries to blackmail Cruise into staying.

At one point a few years back, fellow Scientolgist John Travolta stopped talking
about the reliigion in his interviews, instead talking more about his love of
good food and wine and enjoying the good life. And then something changed, and
suddenly the actor reverted to dropping Scientology phrases back into his press
conversations. Was he reeled back in by the heavy-handed church? Will the same
