Amanda Seyfried está tan ocupada últimamente, que es difícil mantenerse al tanto: entre que se casa (¡alerta de spoiler!) en Big Love, rompe corazones en Dear John, desea que tuviera más tiempo junto a Gael García en Love Letters y poniéndose muy sexy (¡y desnuda!) en Chloe.
¿Pero su favorita? "Gael García Bernal es mi actor favorito de mi generación –dice sonriendo–. ¡He visto todas sus películas y es taaan bueno! En Love Letters creo que casi se interpreta a sí mismo. No estuvo tanto en la película como me hubiera gustado. Todos como que queríamos que fuera nuestro actor principal, pero eso realmente no funcionó. Tenía que ser inglés, pero los productores y el director, todos en el set tenían mucho miedo que fuera tan bueno que el público se enamorara de él. Porque de esa forma toda la película perdería razón de ser porque ¡el público NO lo debe querer! Pero es tan carismático que lo quieres sin importar qué haga. Lo triste es que mi primera oportunidad para trabajar con él fue una relación en pantalla muy corta y siento como si hubiera desaprovechado una gran oportunidad. Como de haber trabajado en una cinta entera. Pero tal vez algún día suceda…".

Amanda Seyfried is so busy lately its hard to keep track –getting married off (Spoiler Alert!) in Big Love, breaking hearts in Dear John, wishing she had more time with Gael Garcia Bernal in Love Letters, and getting sexy (and naked!) in Chloe.
But her favorite? “Gael García Bernal is my favorite actor of my generation,” she smiles. “I’ve seen all of his films and he’s sooo good!In Love Letters he’s sort of playing himself I think. He wasn’t in the movie as much as I wanted him to be. We all kind of wanted him to be our leading man but it didn’t really work. He had to be English but also the producers and director, everybody on the set was afraid he was so good that the audience would fall in love with him. And then the whole movie would be pointless because the audience is supposed to NOT like him! He’s just so charming that you kind of love him no matter what. The sad part about it is my first chance of working with Gael was such a small onscreen relationship it’s like I wasted a big chance. Like to work together on a whole movie. But maybe it’ll happen one day…”
