Miley Cyrus
Birds of a feather…
Miley Cyrus might be all grown up in her sexy red carpet dresses and kissing her boyfriend in public (6’4” Australian hunk Liam Hemsworth who plays her onscreen boyfriend in The Last Song) – but get her talking about life at home with her family and she’s still very much a kid at heart.
“Yes I still have too many animals,” she laughs. “ I have horses, cows. We have a lot of dogs. I bought a fish the other night and named him Pirate, he’s really cool. But now we have a ton of birds in my house which is not by my choice because they sing all the time – which might be cute when you first get them but that gets old really fast. We’ve got cockatiels, parrots and lovebirds. Lovebirds are the worst because they don’t even say anything , they just look at themselves in the mirror and squawk. Then over Christmas my brother taught this one bird to say ‘stupid Miley’ so whenever I walk by it goes, ‘stupid Miley, stupid Miley!’ I guess you can tell I’m not a fan of the birds!”
Miley obviously inherited her love of four legged pets from her famous father, Billy Ray Cyrus. “My dad has this dog who is literally his best friend, like he’ll put him in a vest and pretend he’s a service dog just to get him into places,” she says. “He’s obsessed with him. They have coffee together. So the first time Liam came to meet my dad he had to introduce him to the dog and make sure the dog was okay with him. How embarrassing is that? Luckily Liam is such a nice person, there’s just no-one that doesn’t feel comfortable around him. ”
