Twilight fans, twilight moms, twilight dads, ¿Qué piensa Kristen Stewart?
¿Dormirías en la calle por cuatro noches con la esperanza de ver a tu estrella favorita? Pues eso es lo que está sucediendo en uno de los tres “campamentos” que, empapados por la lluvia, han aparecido alrededor del Nokia Theater de Los Ángeles, donde más de 1,400 fans se establecieron con el objetivo de ver a su estrella predilecta caminar por la alfombra roja de la premiere de Amanecer Parte I, penúltima cinta de La saga Crepúsculo.
Podrías esperar este nivel de dedicación por parte de las fanáticas más jóvenes, pero en las calles abundan las Twilight moms, algún papá Twilight y contingentes de lugares tan remotos como Brasil y Australia.
Hablando de “mamás Twilight”, ¿le gusta la saga a la mamá de Kristen? “Creo que no es lo suficientemente valiente como para aceptar que no es fan”, ríe Kirsten Stewart, quien explorar emociones nuevas en la más reciente entrega de la serie fantástica de vampiros. ¿El embarazo que interpreta en pantalla despertó sus propios instintos maternales? “Me parece chistoso, porque el tema es bastante adulto –dice–.
Normalmente no ves a alguien de 21 años, y Bella es más joven que eso, interpretando a una mamá y creo que la razón por la que suelen hacerme esa pregunta es que se trata de una historia de vampiros. Si le quitas ese elemento, me veo a mí misma teniendo esos sentimientos."
"En definitiva algo se despertó en mí. Todo sucede en la realidad de nuestra historia aunque es un bebé vampiro. Pero me gustó lo rupestre del asunto. Tuve una imagen en mi mente a lo largo de todo el asunto: a una mujer como un gato salvaje en la esquina sin dejar que nadie se le acerque, sabes, con las uñas afuera para hacer lo que sea necesario en defensa del ser que guarda en su interior. Creo que eso es bastante cool. Está en medio de una bola de gente que cree saber lo que es mejor para ella; no quise parecer alguien necia. Quise que fuera casi casi como si ella fuera intocable, sin tener que decir palabra alguna, sólo no se le acerquen. Creo que únicamente puedes presenciar eso con una madre y su hijo. Eso como que me conmueve, he de tener algo de ese instinto dentro de mí”.

Would you sleep on the street for days, hoping to see your favorite star? That’s the scene in the rain-soaked at one of three rain-soaked “tent villages” that have sprung up around the Nokia Theater in downtown Los Angeles, where more than 1400 fans are camping, hoping to catch a glimpse of their favorite star walk the red carpet at tonight’s premiere of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1.
You might expect this kind of dedication from the young female fans, but on the street there is also an abundance of Twilight moms, the odd Twilight dad and contingents from destinations as far away as Brazil and Australia.
Speaking of Twilight moms, does Kristen’s mother like Twilight? “I don’t think she’s brave enough to tell me if she’s not a fan,” laughs Kristen Stewart, who tackles some new emotions in this latest installment of the vampire fantasy series. Did the onscreen pregnancy awaken her own motherly instincts? “I think its funny because the subject matter is very adult,” she says.
“You don’t typically see someone 21 – and Bella is even younger than that – playing a mother, and I think the reason that question is commonly asked of me now is because it’s a vampire story. If you take that element out of it, I could so see myself having those feelings. Something was absolutely awoken in me. It’s very much within the reality of our story even though it’s a vampire baby. But I really liked the feral-ness of it. I always had one image in my head throughout the whole thing, this lady like a feral cat in a corner that just won’t let anyone near her, you know, claws out and ready to do whatever it takes to defend what’s inside her. And I think that’s very cool. Stuck in the middle of a bunch of people that think they know better what is good for her, I didn’t want it ever to seem like I was being stubborn. I wanted it to be almost like she was untouchable, without even having to say a word, you just don’t come near. I don’t think you could have that with anything but a mother and her child. And I’m so sort of moved by that, that I must have some of that instinct in me.”
