Bueno, a mí me entusiasma verla. ¿A ustedes?

Chloë Grace Moretz: The New Queen of Remakes?

For a 15 year old actress, Chloe Moretz has seen more than her share of the dark side – from Let me in to Dark Shadows. But now she’s stepping it up a notch to star in the remake of the iconic horror thriller Carrie.

“People always ask me about choosing so many supernatural characters. Well, a lot of my characters I choose just because I like being pushed emotionally and physically as an actor. And I like being challenged, I like something to overcome. And with Carrie, it was something that I’ve never done before. You know, it’s a character that I’ve never tried out where she’s a victim but at the same time, she is the strongest person in the whole movie and she has so many dimensions to her.  And when I first heard about the movie, I was like, “Whoa… they’re doing a remake of Carrie?”  Cause I love the original. I think De Palma is an absolute genius. And then I heard Kimberly Peirce signed on to direct it. And I thought, wow, then it must be really special. Then it turned out to be one of the most amazing scripts I’ve read. It’s broken down. It’s more like the book. It’s more psychological. It’s more like Black Swan. I had to audition auditioned for 5 hours, well 2 hours once and 3 hours the next time. I left with carpet burned all over my legs from doing the scenes. It’s intense.”

So what exactly did you have to do?

“I can’t say much about the about the movie, they won’t let me. But I really went there for it, because when I feel really strongly about something, I’ll fight for it. And then, when I was in New York, I had just gone home from the Metropolitan opera. And Kim called me from her room in Toronto where she was scouting locations. And she said, “So Chloe, I assume you’ve heard the good news?” And I was like, no, no one had told us anything. The studio wasn’t telling us anything. Everyone kept me in the dark. And… She was like, “Oh come on, you know it was happening.”And I was like, “What’s  happening?” And she’s like, “You’re my Carrie.” My brother and I started jumping on the bed and I face-timed my mom. I was like, “Mommy, mommy, I booked the role… I booked the role!” It was really special. And now I’m diving head first into the role. I’m actually making my own dress for it. And hopefully you will be excited to see it in 2013.”

Hmmm, could that be the dress that gets bloody? Well I’m excited to see it. Are you?
