La Navidad de Angelina, Jack, Nicole y Reese
Los actores nos confiesan qué harán en diciembre.
Esto es lo que harán Jack, Nicole, Angelina y Reese: ¿y tú cómo pasarás Navidad?
Jack Nicholson: Mis hijos son perfectos –ríe–, así que siempre pasamos una gran Navidad. Ahora también están los nietos. Por lo general viajamos a Aspen. En ese lugar tienes casi siempre garantizada una blanca Navidad, y allí iremos también este año. Siempre nos la pasamos muy bien juntos, comemos de maravilla, todos abren sus regalos. Cuando era niño, un día de hecho sí recibí carbón para Navidad. No debieron de haberme regalado una sierra ese año para mi cumpleaños. No es mi culpa el haber cortado la pata de la mesa del comedor… –nos regala la mejor sonrisa característica de Jack Nicholson–. ?
Nicole Kidman: Bueno, pues estamos haciendo de Santa una vez más, así que dejaremos las galletas para el reno. Eso es lo hermoso de tener un bebé, de tener una bebita en tus cuarentas… haces todo eso de nuevo y es divino. Los papás de Keith se quedaron con nosotros durante Acción de Gracias, así que ahora iremos a Sydney y traeremos a mis padres de regreso a Tennessee para la Navidad.
?Angelina Jolie: mi mamá era la maestra de la bota navideña. Podía meterle las cosas más preciadas e introducir cientos de cositas hermosas y pequeñitas, y lo hacía con mucho cuidado. Ahora hago esto con mis niños y Brad se ríe de mí, pero me ayuda. La noche anterior nos desvelamos y envolvemos los regalos… y yo me obsesiono con las botas. Tengo dos hileras de seis, seis de cada cosa, y me toma muchísimo tiempo pero lo amo. Lo que tendemos a hacer es que al menos cada dos años viajamos, y el regalo para los niños y entre nosotros es el viaje. Claro que compramos cositas, pero gastamos el dinero explorando un nuevo país, no en regalos.
?Reese Witherspoon: bueno, siempre me interesa aprender sobre nuevas culturas y tradiciones, especialmente ahora que tengo un novio que es mitad húngaro y mitad italiano (el agente de Hollywood Jim Toth). Cada año organizamos una fiesta en la que cantamos villancicos y le encanta a los niños. Preparo el ponche de champaña de mi mamá y todos bebemos de más y cantamos muy fuerte y todo es muy divertido. En realidad todo es comida y risas.
Here’s what Jack, Nicole, Angelina and Reese are doing for Christmas – how about you?
Jack Nicholson: My children are perfect (laughing) so we always have a great Christmas. Now its also grandchildren. Normally we go to Aspen. Pretty much in Aspen you can guarantee a white Christmas, and we’ll be doing that this year too. We always have a great time together, having a great meal, everyone opening their presents. When I was a boy I actually did receive coal one year for Christmas. They should never have given me a saw that year for my birthday. It wasn’t my fault I sawed off the dining room table leg. (grinning his best Jack Nicholson grin…)
Nicole Kidman: Well, we’re back into the pretense of Santa, we’ll be leaving out the cookies for the reindeer. That’s the beautiful thing about having a baby, a little baby girl in your forties, you get to do all that again and it’s divine. We just had Keith’s parents come and stay with us for Thanksgiving so now we’ll go to Sydney and bring my parents back with us for Christmas in Tennessee.
Angelina Jolie: My mother was the master of the stocking. She could stuff the most special things and fit a hundred little teeny beautiful things in a stocking, and she took such care. So I now do this with my kids and Brad laughs at me, but he helps me. We sit up always the night before and we wrap all the presents and I obsess on the stockings. I have these rows of six, six of everything and I take a ridiculous amount of time with it but I love it. What we tend to do is we say that at least every other year we travel the gift to our children and the gift to each other is the trip. Of course we buy little things, but we spend the money to explore a new country instead of on presents.
Reese Witherspoon: Well I’m always interested in learning about new traditions and cultures, especially now with a boyfriend who’s part Hungarian and part Italian (Hollywood agent Jim Toth). We have a party every year where we sing Christmas carols and the children love that. I make my mother’s champagne punch and everybody has too much to drink and sings loudly and it’s really fun. It’s really just about a lot of food and laughter.
