Sigue el Tribeca Film Festival desde tu computadora

En línea y en vivo alfombras rojas, Q&A y más.

El Festival de Cine Tribeca, que comienza el 1 de mayo, estrenará un festival en línea que ofrece a los cinéfilos nuevas y revolucionarias maneras de experimentar un certamen fílmico. Así, la audiencia estadounidense podrá ver cortometrajes y largometrajes gratis. Además, las audiencias a nivel global podrán interactuar con realizadores y personas de la industria en sesiones de preguntas y respuestas en vivo.
 
Esta experiencia multidimensional cubre cinco áreas:
 
1. The Streaming Room será la sede de seis largometrajes presentados en la edición de Tribeca de 2011, incluyendo dos que hacen su debut mundial en el certamen. También habrá 18 cortometrajes, cuatro de los cuales tienen su premiere mundial, y 9 que forman una retrospectiva de ediciones pasadas del Tribeca Film Festival. La audiencia en línea tendrá la oportunidad de votar por el Mejor Largometraje de Tribeca (el ganador recibirá $25,000 dólares) y el Mejor Cortometraje de Tribeca ($5,000 dólares de premio).

3. Tribeca Film Festival launches online festival

The Tribeca Film Festival, which opens today through May 1, is debuting a concurrent online festival that offers film lovers groundbreaking new ways to experience a film festival and will allow domestic audiences to view feature and short films for free, and worldwide audiences to interact with filmmakers and industry experts with live Q & A conversations.

The multi-dimensional experience features five areas:

1. The Streaming Room will host six feature films from the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival, including two that are making their world premieres at TFF, and 18 short films, four of which are world premieres, and 9 of which retrospective short films from past Tribeca Film Festivals. Online viewers will be able to vote for the Best Tribeca Online Feature Film (the winning film receiving a prize of $25,000) and Best Tribeca Online Short Film (with a prize of $5,000).

2. In Live From…. gives online audiences across the globe the ability to watch live streams of Festival events, including the opening press conference, red carpet premieres, and the award show. Viewers will also have the opportunity to engage with other audience members and onsite participants.

3. Tribeca Q&A offers the online audience the opportunity to engage with the larger online community by submitting questions to a pool of film and new media experts, ranging from Tribeca’s Jane Rosenthal, Geoff Gilmore, and Nancy Schafer, to Whoopi Goldberg, and Brian Williams, and filmmakers David Gordon Green, and Zach Braff, plus a host of participating Tribeca (Online) filmmakers, programmers, actors, jurors, film experts, and more. Community members will vote on individual questions, and top-rated queries will be submitted for official response, made available to the public.

4. The Filmmaker Feed offers information on all Tribeca (Online) Film Festival filmmakers, each of whom will have a custom page on the feed, with a biography, interviews, favorite links, blog posts as well as Twitter and Facebook feeds.

5. The Future of Film blog brings together experts from the worlds of film and technology to comment on the ever-changing media environment in featured pos
